Anna Paquin was born in New Zealand and raised in Canada. She is a Canadian-New Zealander who has been in movies including X-Men, X-Men, and Fly Away Home. The fate of her career was not as clear. She declined many of the offers she received after her first film's success to pursue her education. She returned to film when she was 14 years old to play her role as the mutant Rogue in X-Men which was the very first film in the X-Men film series. The role earned her worldwide fame. Her character was reprised as 'Rogue' in sequels like "X2" and "X-Men The Final Stand.' She also made small screen appearances, notably as 'Elaine ' Goodale 'Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee in 'Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee', in which she was awarded her first Oscar nomination. The actress was quickly bombarded by requests to be a part of TV shows. The roles she played included 'True Blood,' 'Flack among others.
