Tessa Thompson
The actress Tessa Lynn Thompson was born on October 3, 1983, in Los Angeles, California. The actress is the daughter of Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) and granddaughter Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. The majority of her childhood was spent in Los Angeles, before she was moved to Brooklyn. Her father is of African-Panamanian ancestry and her mother is from Mexican as well as British Isles heritage. Thompson was a student at Santa Monica High School where she was a part of numerous theatre productions. After graduation, she enrolled in Santa Monica College, where she earned a certificate in the field of cultural Anthropology. In a performance at Pasadena's Boston Court Theatre, she played Juliet in William Shakespeare's "Romeo as well as Juliet". In the same year, her performance earned recognition with the NAACP Theatre Nomination. In addition to the scene, in 2005 Tessa had her first television appearance in the CBS television series
